Stalking the Stocker
***Horror / Macabre artwork, particularly that of a bloody nature is an acquired taste. If you do not enjoy seeing it, please, do not look. And just as is suggested for Daily Deviations, please do not comment on an artists work with your harmful or hurtful opinions of it. You have the ability to turn off Mature Content works by editing your settings. As with any art, horrific or not, if you have nothing constructive to say in a polite manner, then don't say anything at all.***
Farfetched as it may seem, contributors to the Stock and Resources Gallery on Deviant Art have had their arms (as well as various other implements) elbow deep in the bloody and gory mess that constitutes as Horror / Macabre. These wonderful submissions are more often then not of a photographic nature, taking skill, lighting and a steady hand to create. Frequently overlooked, sometimes just beautiful without the horror, there are some impressive and fascinat

Project Educate: Gory Groups
One of the biggest parts of being a photographer in any medium is exposure. Here on Deviant Art, there is a groups platform that can help you out by giving you a place to submit your work for others to see. Exposure not only helps garner you watchers, comments and favorites (if those things are very important to you) they also help you bond with others of the same ilk.
There are many gory and gross groups you can join on dA that will assist you in gaining valuable experience and friendships that will help you, hopefully, with inspiration, technique and darn it, they are just plain fun!
Below is a listing and brief explaination of some of the groups you can expect to search out if you're looking for some titilating and terrifying photography exposure and community spirit:

As some of you know, I've been sponsoring a Traditional Art Contest with the theme "Portraits".
If you want to see what were the rules, you may see here http://news.deviantart.com/article/137060/ , anyway I want you to know that soon I'll be sponsoring another contest, exactly on the same moulds as this one, but for digital artists
Well, the contest ended and, as the only judge, I became overwhelmed with the weight of decision.
Oh, and I lied yesterday when I said I'd feature the best 50 works in this news article. It wasn't my intention, you see, I spent the last 24 hours viewing, analysing, "feeling" all the submissions to the contest, just to reach this decision: these artists are brilliant, with so much talent, that I couldn't choose the 50 "best" works. I had almost 300 entries and some artists submitted 2, 3, 5 works (as they were allowed) and each of those pieces were so good and so brilliantly
